If you are making a cake or brownie mix, start by adding the wet ingredients first, then the dry mix won't stick to the bottom of the bowl. (Polly taught me that one!)
If your mixer is splashing flour or liquid out of the bowl, hang a kitchen towel over it while it mixes. (I have to do this when I start mixing whipped cream and it splatters everywhere before it thickens.)
I wasn't aware I had taught you anything about the cooking...you just made my day!
