Busy Day Beef Tips on Rice

2 lbs. beef tips
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
½ c water
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
Mix all ingredients in casserole dish. Cover and bake for 3 hours at 300 degrees. Serve over rice. (May also be cooked in the crock pot on low for 8-12 hours)

This is my absolute favorite Sunday dinner. I get so excited when I get to put this on the calendar and plan on making it. The leftover gravy/meat also makes delicious meat pies.

  1. Maggie, I am always looking for something I can put in my crock pot during church. Thanks!

  2. Where do you find beef tips? I tried to find them at the grocery store and when I asked the butcher he didn't know what I was talking about.

  3. Beef tips are just either stew meat or shish-kabob meat. It is just chunked beef. I've cut up leftover roast and done this recipe, too.

  5. This is so easy and totally awesome. Low and slow made the beef tips melt in mouth and the gravy was great. I did add 1 teaspoon of Kitchen Bouquet for color and a little more beef taste. I will do this with pork chops next and serve with mashed potatoes.
